Summary:

King of the geeks Marty Johnston has a serious crush on his co-worker Elizabeth. The principal IT consultant wants more than just a flirtation, but guilt over a one-night-stand-but-maybe-more Marty had on his last business trip before meeting Elizabeth could cost him his big chance with the girl of his dreams. He’s comfortable dealing with computers, not people. Can he step way outside his comfort zone to sort things out, or will he lose the one he’s falling for?

Title:  Always the Quiet Ones
Series:  N/A
Book #: N/A
Author:  Cassandra Carr
Approximate Book Length:  47 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Moderate

Thoughts:

This story was a little awkward, though cute too. However, it felt really rushed. I almost think this was actually a prequel or something leading into a bigger book, except that their story was pretty much told.

The love scenes are mostly “closed door”, but you do get a few fun, hot foreplay scenes. The rest were the awkward, rushed parts. I liked the ending, but it definitely added to the strangeness, because it didn’t actually involve the heroine.

Bottom Line:

Always the Quiet Ones is a quick, but confusing read. It’s worth checking out for a sweet story about romantic potential.
