BLOG TOUR: Call Me Crazy by Quinn Loftis

Image
Thanks to Reading Addiction Blog Tours for hosting this blog tour. I'm sharing a little about Call Me Crazy by Quinn Loftis. Happy reading! ***************************** “I’m looking out from inside the chaos. It must be a one-way mirror because no one seems to be able to see back inside to where I am. The looks on their faces, the judgment in their eyes, tells me everything I need to know. The most frustrating part about the whole messed up situation is that even though I’m the one that they stare at in shock, I am just as shocked as they are. I know no more than they do of why I lose control. What they don’t know is that I am more scared of myself than they could ever be.” ~ Tally Baker After a devastating turn of events, seventeen year old Tally Baker is admitted to Mercy Psychiatric Facility where she is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. She has come to a place where she honestly believes that her life is over. Her mind tells her that she will never smile or laug...

BLOG TOUR: Scarred Love by MS Brannon

Image
Thanks to Reading Addiction Blog Tours for hosting this blog tour. I have MS Brannon, author of Scarred Love , here today. Welcome! ***************************** Inspiration to My Writing For me, inspiration comes from many different sources and events surrounding my life, a close friend or family member, or someone random stranger. I like to people watch. Sitting in a busy place I love to try and figure out what that person’s particular story could be. I will almost study them to the point it could be considered staring, watching their body language, interactions with others, and mannerisms they will you. Then try and write their story in my head. Often times ,I will end up writing down what I’ve encountered in that moment and develop it into a short story in a matter of moments. Or I will see or hear of a certain event that’s happened and it will remind me of story I am currently working on. I will find a why to incorporate it into the story. Scarred Love in particu...

I’ve been to Canada, USA, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, France, Monaco, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, and the West Bank. BLOG TOUR: Girls Love Travis Walker by Anne Pfeffer

Image
Thanks to Reading Addiction Blog Tours for hosting this blog tour. I have Anne Pfeffer, author of Girls Love Travis Walker here today talking about expectations. Welcome! ***************************** What to Expect When You Read Girls Love Travis Walker Readers often tell me my books surprised them. They say there was a lot more there than they’d expected, a lot more story and emotion. I don’t set out to make my books unpredictable or unusual, but that’s how they seem to end up. Fortunately, most people (or the ones who write letters and reviews, anyway) are happily surprised. But because I’d like you to know what you’re getting, I thought I’d try to explain this book a little and tell you what early readers are saying. To understand Girls Love Travis Walker, think of Will Smith’s film The Pursuit of Happyness (a man struggling to keep his family off the streets), combined with a classic romance novel (boy meets, loses, and gets girl), combined with a main charac...

BLOG TOUR: Gatekeeper's Daughter by Eva Pohler

Image
Thanks to Reading Addiction Blog Tours for hosting this blog tour. I have Eva Pohler, author of The Gatekeeper's Daughter , here sharing her thoughts on your "inner goddess". Happy reading! ;-) ***************************** Awakening Your Inner Goddess (Sans Fifty Shades of Grey ) When I say girls need to awake their inner goddesses, I’m not referring to the kind of inner goddess described by E.L. James in Fifty Shades of Grey (though I’m not opposed to awakening that type either). What I’m talking about is the warrior goddess of power inside each one of us, often latent and unrecognized in girls who continue to live in a world where men hold the highest offices in government, church, and the work force. Girls are less subjugated today than they were fifty years ago, and although the playing field still isn’t perfectly level, the real culprit holding back most girls is themselves. As Alice Walker has said, “The most common way people give up their power is...

When people started getting sick, “they” thought it was just the flu. My roommate, my boyfriend, my family…they’re all gone now. I got sick too. I should have died with them—with the rest of the world—but I didn’t. I thought witnessing the human population almost disappear off the face of the earth was the craziest thing I’d ever experience. I was so wrong. My name is Dani O’Connor, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending. The Virus changed everything. The world I knew is gone, and life is backwards. We’ve all had to start over. I’ve been stripped of my home, my dreams…all that is me. I’m someone else now — broken and changed. Other survivors’ memo...
