COVER REVEAL: Melting into You by Cassandra Carr

Image
Wickedly Innocent Promotions is hosting a cover reveal for Cassandra Carr's Melting into You . I'm here to share that cover and a little about the book with you. Happy Reading! Savor Series - Book 1 Seth Mason's life as a macaroni and cheese food truck owner in Austin, Texas, is pretty good, except for one thing: he'd like to find a man to share that life with. As part of an organization Seth founded, he donates leftovers to the local homeless shelter, and meets Ben, a new employee. He's a preppy guy, and very much not Seth's usual type, but the attraction is strong and not going away. Ben's just moved to Austin from Connecticut to take a job as a case manager at the Austin City Mission, the first time he's left home and family. But only a short time after he starts work, he meets a man who, though he looks like an extra in a surfing movie, intrigues him. He's hardly seen what life in Austin has to offer, and yet finds he wants to discove...

REVIEW: Unexpected Top by Cassandra Carr

Image
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance .*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: Cissy feels taken for granted in her marriage and decides to try to take some control of the situation. Len’s into it at first since it involves sexual rewards, but spooks when he starts losing more control. Will Cissy’s experiment change them for the better or be the biggest mistake of her life? Thoughts: A lot of times, romance books are about a new couple or a reunited couple, so it’s refreshing to read stories about a married couple. Cissy and Len have lost their chemistry and Cissy’s desperate to get back, along with some respect from her husband. In her research, she learns of a Female-Led-Relationship (FLR). She decides to take a chance and try some things. The rest of the story is about the results and their journey together. One of the things that really stands out for me in this book is that research is done to fix a stale marriage. It’s about a random ...

REVIEW: Public Displays of Eroticism by Cassandra Carr, Cristal Ryder, and Jami Davenport

Image
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance .*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: One couple indulges in the fantasy of sex in a public place. Their antics at a park inspire four other couples to admit their own fantasies bringing them closer than ever. Stories of deep love and sexual exploration, Public Displays of Eroticism takes us into the world of both voyeurism and exhibitionism with just a dash of BDSM. Thoughts: BACK TO NATURE is the first story in the book and is written by Cassandra Carr. It certainly sets a tone for what to expect from the rest! Our couple is in a firm Dom/sub relationship, which is exemplified beautifully. He decides they’re going to go have some public fun, so they go to a park and do all kinds of naughty things in various locations throughout. The fun thing is that they’re never itching for an audience, nor are they disappointed, or shy for that matter, whenever they get one. Cassandra weaves a story that holds a ...

REVIEW: Loaded Question by Cassandra Carr

***This book was originally reviewed for The Forbidden Bookshelf .*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: Rob adores his girlfriend, Daisy. She’s a Southern belle girly-girl, which is perfect, except for one thing. As much as Daisy likes sex, she draws the line at oral. She’s not good at it, and Rob has resigned himself to doing without. That is, until Daisy offers to get a tutor. Is this a great idea or the worst mistake Rob has ever made? Thoughts: I am not normally one who particularly enjoys dwelling on the oral part of foreplay, but this was pretty damn hot. Every good couple strives to better themselves to please each other, and when Daisy asks Rob if there’s anything he wants or that she could do better, he answers honestly, fearing it could ruin them. What a pleasant surprise when she decides to do something about it, rather than slap him and run. The tutor they hire is sexy, hot, and is surprisingly kind, especially for a Dom. This short story takes you on...

REVIEW: Birthday Boy by Cassandra Carr

Image
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance .*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: Johnny isn’t thrilled about his birthday, especially in the club that his girlfriend, Steffi, has dragged him to. Until she voices her desire to have sex right there in the club, but even when he agrees, he doesn’t realize she’s got even more in store for him. Thoughts: This is a short one, as is this review, but a very hot read. It’s also a story with some emotion and trust involved. I love when an author can make even a “quickie” feel kind of deep emotionally and that’s what Cassandra Carr has done. This book has vivid characters in a sweet relationship all about give and take, and the entire scenario, both at the club and at home afterwards, is blazing. If you’re looking for a quick, fun read full of heat with a dash of sweetness, look no further!
