REVIEW: Night Bird by Teresa Blue

***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summary:
Travis Howland washes up on the shores of Lost Isle and into the arms of an angel.
Known as the Night Bird, Emma Samson dedicates her afterlife to a solitary existence on Lost Isle, easing the passage of the dying. When she finds Travis weak and desperate, she gives him the only gift she has--a few more days to settle his affairs before his death.
Sorely lacking in faith, Travis lives life with no thought for the future. When his lovely rescuer claims he has died, he can't believe it. He must warn his father that their ship was plundered by a greedy business partner, but only a leap of faith can save him.
Together, Emma and Travis use his last few hours to avenge the traitorous deeds that torment him, and along the way discover that love can be found in any stage of life…even after death.
Thoughts:
The story starts quickly, with Emma stumbling upon the washed up body of Travis, and as he asks for help, she makes a quick decision to grant him a little extra time. She fears how he’ll respond to her gift given the cost. Will he understand everything she has to tell him? Will he use his time wisely? Will he make the choice she finds herself yearning for him to make? She can only find out when he finally wakes, transformed.
I think it’s kind of a neat concept that the author portrays, but I feel its execution was messy. I spent the majority of the story trying to figure out and understand the big picture of what exactly they were and what that meant for them. Despite the bits and pieces of the backstory and buildup, I felt no real connection to either character other than some pity for the circumstances surrounding both of their deaths and resulting afterlives. The romance also felt opportunistic and superficial, and I was disappointed that we never even got to see them fully explore it. The only particular part I liked was the resolution in the last page or two. Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that I must say this one fell flat with me and I just didn’t enjoy it at all.
Gavin Mathis is ready to settle down. He’s quit his job and come home to Shadow Maverick Ranch to do just that. Too bad his decision caused his beautiful former colleague to lose her job.
Lauren Delgado is a no-nonsense businesswoman. She’s had a crush on Gavin for years, but has a strict “hand-off” policy with the men she works with. When her life takes an unexpected turn, there’s nothing to stop her from accepting his invitation to Galveston Island, where the policy is definitely hands-on.
Title:  White Collar Cowboy
Series:  Shadow Maverick Ranch
Book #: 1
Author:  Parker Kincade
Approximate Book Length:  81 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Moderate
Thoughts:
This was a sweet story with a lot of heat. The characters had good chemistry and the characters all around were lovable. The premise for the story intrigued me right away and the author wastes no time in diving right into it. There was no point at which I was bored at all and it all focused on the relationship between Gavin and Lauren that started at work and what they each had planned for their futures which suddenly seemed different than they’d originally thought.
This book was hopefully just a taste of what’s to come. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I want to see more of Gavin and Lauren, as well as learn more about his brothers. The Shadow Maverick Ranch is looking so good!
Bottom Line:
White Collar Cowboy is a fun, compelling story that I read in one sitting. It left me satisfied, happy, and eager for more!
REVIEW: Sex, Wolves, and Rock 'N Roll by Mina Carter
Summary:
The trouble is, K has a new woman in his bed every night, so he’s straight as they come. Unable to bear it anymore, Sav makes plans to leave the band, even though it will break his heart in the process. But anything's better than seeing the man he loves—his mate—and not being able to touch. Ever.
K loves being a Lyric Hound. The only time he truly feels alive is on stage, a guitar in his hand and the beat of Sav's drums flowing through his veins. He may be a womanizer, but it's the other wolf who makes his heart pound and his body ache. But before K can admit his feelings, Sav leaves the band, ripping his world apart.
Enter Madame Eve. Can she find K's lost mate?
Title:  Sex, Wolves, and Rock ‘N Roll
Series:  1Night Stand
Book #: N/A
Author:  Mina Carter
Approximate Book Length:  53 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Explicit
Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book. I like M/M romance and HEA stories and this just had it all. I loved the conflict; it really tugged at the heartstrings. The main characters were sexy and loveable. I adored the band members and only wanted more of them. There are a couple other books about this band, so I’m definitely hooked enough to go get the others!
Being that this is the third book about the band, there are two other couples featured in the story. However, you don’t get the feeling of having missed anything important and no references are made to their stories that I could tell, so this story really stands alone fine…but I want to read the other stories anyway :-)
Bottom Line:
Sex, Wolves, and Rock ‘N Roll is a story that will hold you enthralled from beginning to end. I felt the characters come alive which is awesome for a short novella!
After several near-miss encounters with the dragon who almost killed her, Cate trapped the beast in the attic using her own magickal skills as spell-caster and an enchanted chatelaine left to her by her grandparents. She agreed to give her husband one year in the magickal confines of their attic to battle the dragon within before she gives up on him for good.
During the year Grayson Cooper has been trapped in his attic fighting for his life and his marriage, his best friend and legal partner, Michael James, seduces his wife and devises a plan to take over her fortune. About the Author
Mackenzie Lucas is a lover of story in any form. She’s an avid reader of genre fiction, she writes contemporary and paranormal romance, and she listens to an eclectic mix of music that spans from pop/rock to country to gospel. She loves a good story whether it’s an erotic short, a full-length romance novel, or the narrative slice-of-life found in country music. In any story, emotional integrity and authenticity are most important to her as well as a big dose of romping hot sexual tension. She enjoys smart-mouthed, sexy heroines, hunky alpha heroes who know how to take care of their women, and plot twists that surprise her, but most of all, she just wants to experience a satisfying emotional arc of a character falling in love and finding what he or she needs most in life.
Mac is a small-town country girl with a world-traveler’s soul. She grew up in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania and she’s lived in Dublin, Ireland, in Long Island for a summer, and now resides in the Washington, D.C. area. She obtained her undergraduate degree in English Literature from Dickinson College and received her M.F.A. in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. She’s currently an author, writing coach, president of Washington Romance Writers, a mother, and a wife. Her latest contemporary romance, Essence, was published by Soul Mate Pulishing in January 2014.
With Mackenzie Lucas--whether you’re reading her light paranormal romance or her small-town-based contemporary romance--you’ll always get a story about connectedness, community, and emotional authenticity, and, at its core, love. No, and it doesn’t hurt that all her heroes are panty-melting gorgeous alphas and all their sexy, sensually aware heroines know how to stand up to them, give no quarter, and love them just as they are.
REVIEW: A Damned Good Rogering by Roger Frank Selby
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Summary:

Spanning the adult ambit, this collection of steamy short stories from erotica superstar Roger Frank Selby is sure to suit all tastes, no matter how hot. Treat yourself to A Damned Good Rogering this season, courtesy of Roger Frank Selby and House of Erotica.

The stories include:

Catch of the Night
A spectacularly sexy science fiction tale.
On a waterworld with no continents, the female descendents of the crew of a crashed starship have genetically adapted faster to the aquatic conditions while the men lag behind. And on such a world, drastic mating methods are required!

The Farmer's Gun
Farmer Johnson is concered. Farmhand Tom seems a bit slow, but Mrs Johnson finds him well up to the mark. She discovers a use for him, aleviating the pressure of milk over-production after she breast feeds. After a close call relieving Tom’s pressure in the cowshed, she delays further adventures until her husband is away. But come market day, farmer Johnson returns unexpectedly...

Up Periscope!
When an attractive female officer helicoptered aboard a submarine at sea triggers the security alarm, just who among the all-male crew is to perform the mandatory full strip-search? It turns out that two marine NCOs are required - but is this something Lieutenant Laura Lacey knows already?

Thou Shalt Not Covet
Jake can't believe his luck when a plumbing emergency gets him inside his sexy neighbour's house while the other half's at work, especially when something as simple as wet feet leads to strange but encouraging behaviour on her part. Heavenly poolside frolics with the neighbour's partner become complicated on her husband's return from Germany - with an equally stunning fraulein!

Milking and Spanking Mrs Goodbody
Ms Goodbody is Mr and Mrs Brown's favourite bed and breakfast landlady until they find out that she has committed a violation of their privacy while the couple perform their exotic lovemaking!
Clearly some appropriate punishment is in order befitting the landlady’s outstanding physical attributes. The couple soon discover her ability to supply milk from her large breasts. On the way, the voluptuous landlady helps the couple advance a few boundaries of their own, in this outrageous threesome adventure.

Thoughts:

I usually like a little romance with my smut, but only two of these stories held a lick of romance and I still enjoyed it, like the good little smut addict that I am. Being that there’s multiple stories, I’ll just touch a little on my feel for each one. Just keep in mind that I can’t say too much because they’re each only about ten to fifteen pages long.

Catch of the Night is interesting, though a little alien in feeling. It’s a bit of an awkward scenario for me as a female is captured and enticed into servicing the crew that captured her. I wouldn’t call it a gangbang, as it wasn’t quite that raunchy and it was really quite gentle, but there’s zero romance involved. The ending though leaves you interested in the world, which makes me a little sad that the story is just a little short like it is.

The Farmer’s Gun is one of the two that has a hint of romance. It starts out feeling awkward and naughty as the wife has a little affair, but the ending has an understanding and acceptance that is actually pretty heartwarming. I also love the pun in the title. Reminds me of the rhyme “This is my weapon, this is my gun. One is for fighting, one is for fun.” I hope I got that right…anyway, can you guess which is actually the focus of the story? *grin*

Up Periscope! is more what I expected from the book given the title of the collection. I was expecting a more military focus, but this is the only story that has it. There’s a little surprise seduction of subordinates, and a little dominating punishment. It’s fun, sexy and satisfying.

Thou Shalt Not Covet is naughty and a little mysterious. The central message is “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife” and the ending is funny in the way they deliver that message by hinting at the solution to the mystery, which I was surprised I didn’t see coming.

Milking And Spanking Ms. Goodbody is the final story, and the name alone sounds naughty. It’s also very straightforward as that’s exactly what happens. However, this is the other one that has a hint of romance. Ms. Goodbody is landlady to a B&B and she’s caught spying on a sexy couple, and her voyeurism is turned into a living fantasy.

So if you’re looking for just a little dirty naughtiness in various ways, go ahead and give A Damned Good Rogering a try as it’s certainly an erotic quickie at only about fifty-five pages total.

COVER REVEAL: Besotted by Georgie Le Carre

EXCERPT

‘What about BDSM? Are you going to teach me something about that?’

He looks at me over the rim of his glass. ‘Why? Are you interested in being a submissive?’

‘I don’t know. I could be. What is it?’

‘It’s a game.’

‘I like games. Start me off and I’ll tell you if I like it.’

He stops smiling, his eyes change, darken. Very deliberately he positions his drink right in front of him, tips his glass sideways and allows the liquid in it to pour onto the table. I watch the puddle grow on the table. At some point before the glass is empty he stops pouring. I lift my eyes from the spill and look at him. His eyes are expressionless, watchful. The silence stretches. I break it. ‘Well?’

‘Clean it up,’ he says.

‘What?’

‘I don’t need to repeat myself, do I? It is a punishable offence.’

For a moment I feel confused. Was this the thing that has everybody hot up the collar? Do I want to be his little slave? The answer is obvious and immediate. I don’t. Definitely not. But I’ll let it play a little more and see where this little game goes. I turn towards the paper towels.

‘Not with the paper towel.’ His voice cracks like a whip.

I turn towards him slowly. Our eyes clash, a look of impatience about his. What does he want me to do? Clean the table with my tongue? The thought is unsexy, off-putting. ‘With what then?’

He leans back and folds his arms across his chest. ‘With your sex.’

And suddenly I am wet. The idea is shocking but incredibly, unbelievably erotic. I hook my thumbs into white lace and push them all the way down. I step out of them.

‘Give them to me.’

I bend down to retrieve them and walk towards him. I look into his eyes as I drop it into his outstretched hand. He puts it into his trouser pocket.

I pull myself onto the table and opening my legs slightly so he can see what I am doing, slowly drag my sex across the spill. Something flashes in his eyes. His drink is cold on my warm skin. When I have pulled myself across the liquid I stop and look to him.

He nods slowly. ‘You,’ he says, and there is a touch of admiration in his voice, ‘are an excellent pupil. You never do more than what you are instructed to do.’

I say nothing. Just hold myself in that position.

‘Now spread your legs,’ he orders.

Title:  Seduced by the Scrum-Half
Series:  Strathstow Sharks
Book #: 2
Author:  Mina Carter
Approximate Book Length:  49 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Explicit

Thoughts:

First of all, this is book 2 in the series, but it stands alone perfectly fine. There is no references to any teammates or couples or anything that would suggest there was a previous book.

Second, this was a fast and sexy read. I enjoyed it, but I have to say that it felt too short and very open ended. It starts off funny and totally hot, but there’s no strong character development or progression. The relationship also seems to be based mostly in sex, which isn’t enough for me personally. I just wanted more from all of it.

Bottom Line:

Seduced by the Scrum-Half is a quick, sexy read that will make you laugh right from the start. Check it out if you’re looking for a little something!

BLOG TOUR: Rock It by Jennifer Chance

Thanks to Barclay Publicity for hosting this blog tour. I'm sharing my review of Jennifer Chance's Rock It today. Happy reading!

*****************************

Summary:

Lacey Dawes is a total pro at the talent agency where she works, and it doesn’t hurt that IMO Worldwide Media represents Dante Falcone. The rock god has starred in her fantasies since she was sixteen—and remains her secret crush to this day. So when Dante picks her to be the interim manager on his Dream It tour, Lacey can’t believe her luck. Handling Dante is sure to be the most exquisite, spine-tingling, nerve-wracking mix of business and pleasure ever.

Although Dante is grateful for the adoring fans who scream for one more of his full-throttle, soul-searing songs, being surrounded by a cadre of corporate types backstage is wearing thin. Then Lacey shows up. Yeah, she’s organized, smart, quick to get him what he wants before he knows he wants it—but Dante senses there’s something else going on with sweet, sexy Lacey. One kiss tells him what that “something” might be . . . and makes him hungry for more.

Title:  Rock It
Series:  Rule Breakers
Book #: 1
Author:  Jennifer Chance
Approximate Book Length:  213 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Moderate

Thoughts:

This started out a little rocky, got interesting, and ended in sweetness. I didn’t know how I felt about Dante in the beginning, and Lacey’s fangirl persona was a little obnoxious to me frankly. She waffles frequently between that persona and her professional mask. While part of the story, it made me want to smack her. Plus, she’s much more comfortable with his lifestyle than I would be. I’d be pretty miffed in some of the situations that she just brushes off.

Beyond that, it gets compelling very quickly and even though it’s pretty predictable, it’s a fun story with characters that are likeable in the end if not at first. I was taken along for the ride with Lacey and ended up appreciating Dante for all his layers. There’s room for more books with some of these characters, but there’s nothing that suggests it will be a series or needs to be. I was very comfortable and happy with the story upon closure.

Bottom Line:

Rock It is a story about a rock star in his prime that is contrarily tired of the lifestyle. In his efforts to change that, he learns that his biggest fan is so much more and their journey is full of ups and downs that make for a funny, sexy, and compelling read.

About the Author
I come by romance honestly, having spent several years writing adult romance and entering romance contests through Romance Writers of America–including finaling twice in the prestigious Golden Heart contest and winning once. But despite these and other contest wins, my first published novel came not in adult romance, but as a writer of YA historical fiction (you can read all about my Elizabethan spy girls stories, the Maids of Honor, here.)

Still, despite my love of Elizabethan spies, I could never quite give up those super Alpha contemporary romance heroes. So, in the summer of 2013, I decided to see if perhaps I might still have a romance or two up my sleeve.

I wrote a tale about a girl whose biggest high-school and college crush–a rock star–suddenly becomes her biggest client, only now she has to be professional and not betray the fact that she’s completely in love with the guy. It was a fun, sexy, romantic fantasy, and I suggested the idea to my agent… who asked what other ideas I had in addition to this story. Shortly after, the Rule Breakers series was born.

To separate these books from my historical work, I adopted the name Jennifer Chance. I am now pursuing my dreams (pretty much round the clock as it turns out) and am THRILLED to be able to have four e-books coming out in 2014 and early 2015, all with Random House LoveSwept’s New Adult romance line.

As to what will happen from here, who knows? But as long as there is a story to be written and an HEA to be had, I’ll be the one over in the corner, tapping away on my keyboard.

Excerpt

 “Lindsey, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing, sir. I’m doing well.”
“Come talk to me.” His grandfather turned and walked into the living room.
Did he want to talk? He’d have to be careful, but yes. Pop-Pop was a smart man. He walked down the stairs and into the large, comfortable room. His grandfather sat on a love seat at one end of the room, so he took the identical seat across from him. He leaned back and crossed his legs. Look relaxed.
Pop-Pop sat forward. “Romantic troubles?”
Wow. The old man had a way of diving to the truth. “Not exactly.”
“I heard you had a date with the Westerberg son. Your mother’s doing, I believe.” The old man could have been talking about a date with a girl, he was so comfortable with it.
“Yes, sir.”
“Did you like him?”
“Well enough.”
“Ah, so he’s not the issue.”
Lindsey grinned. His grandfather was enjoying the guessing game.
“So if it’s not exactly romantic troubles, what exactly is it?”
“I guess you could call it unrequited romantic interest.”
He rubbed his hands together. “Now this is interesting. I've seen you with many men over the years since you returned from school, but none of them lasted more than a few dates, and none of them ever sparked what I would call romantic interest. How odd that you should affix your affection on one who doesn't care about you. Have you considered it might be a form of self-protection? Only wanting the ones you can’t have has a way of keeping you single.”
Lindsey grinned. “I guess that’s possible sometimes, but not in this case. He’s just highly inappropriate. A tough cop I met while helping Dave with the kidnapping issue. Dave asked if I would take him to the polo match to give him a chance to investigate among people we know without being too obvious. So I did it.” Lindsey shrugged.
“And got caught in your own trap.”
He smiled, but it hurt around the edges. “Yes, I guess. I found him attractive from the start but assumed he was straight, so it was just a harmless flirtation. After the match, I found out he’s gay, so that made the vast expanse between us more real.”
Pop-Pop frowned. “It’s not like you to discriminate based on class.”
“Nothing like that, sir. He’s the one discriminating, I’m sure. I’m simply not at all his type. A bit too lavender silk for his black leather, shall we say.”
His grandfather steepled his fingers and stared over them. “You’re not just one thing, Lindsey. I've know many men in my life and you’re one of the very best. Smart, decisive, action-oriented, kind, and basically good. Unlike your father, I might add. You need a man who sees that. But you've got good judgment, so if you think this cop is romance-worthy, then my bet is there’s something there worth pursuing. Ride him down, son!” He laughed that big robust sound that had comforted Lindsey since the day he was born.

REVIEW: Susie White and the Right Hand Man by Lucy Felthouse

***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summary:
A wedding, an evil plan, a love story and a sacrifice are the order of the day in this modern retelling of Snow White and the Huntsman. Susie White and her stepmother-to-be have never seen eye to eye, despite all of Susie's best efforts to be friendly. Eager not to spoil her father's happiness, Susie still agrees to be bridesmaid at their wedding. When the big day comes, Susie meets Louise's right hand man, Scott. Susie had never believed in love at first sight until that moment. The pair hit it off, sharing a mutual dislike of Louise and her wicked ways. Their camaraderie quickly develops into something more, and they date in secret until it's time for Susie to leave for University – and freedom. Unfortunately, Scott has an earth-shattering revelation, which means the two of them of them must work together to unravel Louise's evil plan, before it's too late.
Thoughts:
This is a really short story, so there isn’t too much I can say without giving the entire thing away. While we’re provided with the backstory to Susie’s life as Louise enters it, I didn’t feel much of a connection with her. Then we meet Scott and I really liked him. He’s got a smartass personality, a good heart, and he’s very sexy. However, we see almost nothing of their courtship.
When the conflict reaches its climax, the solution feels unrealistic. The story ends up involving magic, and it just never quite feels very believable. So while I thought it was kind of a cute modern version of Snow White, I just didn’t quite feel it, and I think a large part of the problem is that it was just way too short.
Summary:
She's about to trade her treasured motorcycle in on a much wilder ride--Ian Coghlan.
Divorcee Peyton Reynolds is ready to escape the the judgement of a small town, bad memories of her failed marriage, and the grief of her mother's death. A month long, cross-country ride should do just the trick. One last check-up on her new cruiser has her tripping over her hormones while alone in the garage with the town's sexy bad boy, Ian Coghlan.
Tattooed, pierced, and able to shape-shift, Ian will give her the ride of her life.
Ian Coghlan knows he's nothing but disaster for a woman like Peyton. His place in the Wild Hunt and killer instincts have held him back from acting on a five-year attraction. When the curvy brunette responds to one tiny grin with a spark of interest, sockets fly out of the toolboxes and Peyton is knocked to the floor.
That month of solitude she wanted just disappeared, but the consolation prize is looking pretty...damn...hot.
With the magic of the Hunt in the air, Pixie pranks abound, and his old biker gang roars into the parking lot, dousing the heat in the garage with the cold dredges of mayhem. Peyton's life is on the line with his bad brothers' return to his world, and Ian has to decide if he can let her go or if he's willing risk her eternal hatred by changing her life forever.
Thoughts:
Oh man! This was such a fascinating book. At its core, it’s a very sexy book filled with man candy and sensuality. However, that’s the tip of the iceberg. Add in the mythology, and you’ve got an incredibly intriguing book that I couldn’t put down. There’s some exciting action, creative creatures, stubborn alpha males, and world building that promises SO much more in future installments. I really can’t wait for more, especially since I’m not familiar with “The Hunt” and this is a fabulous introduction!
Bottom Line:
Peyton’s Ride is a fantastic beginning to what promises to be a fun and sexy series full of danger and passion. Grab this work of awesome by an increasingly inventive author!
Thoughts:
This one starts off with a lot of exposition that, while necessary, is also a little daunting and confusing. However, once it’s out of the way, it gets interesting and fun. The world building is really neat and the chemistry between the characters is really sexy. It’s a short read with a couple exciting action scenes and a hot love scene that promises more.
I can’t find any mention that this is going to be a series, but it’s very obvious after reading it that it is. There HAS to be more coming, because the ending is far too abrupt – even if it is a slick one. I’m looking forward to more in the world setting, but also surrounding these particular characters. I was just getting to really like them when the story ended!
Bottom Line:
The Reaper and the Cop is a quick, sexy read that will is set in an enthralling world with plenty of room for just about anything you can imagine. Don’t miss out!
About the Authors
For a girl whose first book was called “The Scariest Forest Ever,” the jump to romance may seem to be a far one. But a love of happy endings and the stories she kept making up in her head for strangers on the street lead to an unhealthy amount of time spent behind the keyboard typing away and giggling mischievously over sassy heroines, sexy heroes, and healthy sprinklings of geek humor.
With time split between a day job staring at teeth, two little girls, college courses, workaholic husband, and too many voices in her head, Jennifer still finds time to sneak off and devour all the books she can find – even if it means hiding in the closet to read them.
She insists on her jokes being dirty, drinks spiked, and tattoos placed in intriguing, muscular places you can only find when the clothes come off.
Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.
So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all...
(But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.)
The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.
REVIEW: Art and Soul by Scarlett Knight
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Summary:

Reigniting the fiery flame of past love, the couples in these two short stories discover the unbridled power of rekindled lust. Read the tale of how two lovers reunite after a lifetime of separation, only to find their feelings for one another have not changed. Then witness the intimate scene of yet another couple, one whose initial relationship ended badly, but the intensity of their make-up promises to start a whole new chapter of fresh passion.

Thoughts:

Art and Soul is a tale about a soul deep connection between two people that had loved each other once upon a time before taking different paths in life. Their reunion is sexy and sweet and made me think “awwww” in that really girly way by the end.

Saturday Surprise is also a reunion story, but one that more drives the point home that “Hell hath no wrath like a woman scorned.” When Jacob shows up on her doorstep after having left her behind years ago, he’s expecting an easy comeback, but she’s going to have fun with him as she makes him work for what he wants.

Both of these stories are short and while they do contain a sex scene, I feel it’s really more about the plot. I actually want more, especially from Saturday Surprise. One is sweet and the other fun, with a little smut thrown in. Definitely worth a read.
