Buffy's Ramblings

So I will return to doing flash fiction!  However, while I welcome y'all's input, instead of relying on getting my ideas elsewhere, I can roll the dice.  My best friend got me a Christmas present, and it was Rory's Story Cubes !  It's perfect for doing some flash fiction, doing a simple writing exercise, playing around, or getting inspired.  I hope you all enjoy reading what's to come as much as I intend to enjoy writing it!

So I was busy and didn't get around to writing FF this weekend, but I'll take what was left for me and write it this week in addition to whatever is left this week.   Words, themes, concepts, titles, genres, whatever you can imagine!  Leave it here for me and I'll see what I can do about giving it a place in a short story :-)

So yesterday's Flash Fiction was really hard for me, but I had to keep up with it, wanted to do that one in particular justice, and the weekly exercises are very helpful and fun. So now that yesterday's is done, it's time to really sit down and take a look at the future of my flash fiction pieces. I enjoy them, I really do, but I'm getting less and less participation so I have to wonder if I should really keep up with the posts.  I will keep writing regardless (once I dig my way out from under the mountain of reviews I'm buried beneath right now), but is it worth keeping up with these weekly posts?  Do YOU want to keep participating and reading my short stories? Let me know your thoughts.  If you want to keep seeing flash fiction pieces, leave me your ideas in the form of themes, titles, random words, or anything you'd like me to work with.

I was a little ill this weekend and apparently completely forgot to put this post up...being a little sick during the week, it never crossed my mind that I was missing it.  Go.  Me. So!  I'll put this up now and have it go through next week and then I'll do a Flash Fiction then.  Leave me words to include, a title to conform to, a theme, a genre, anything you want!  I look forward to seeing your ideas :-)

I visited my family at the end of last week, so that's why I was a little late in posting my flash fiction this week.  But now it's time for new ideas once again!  I read a book recently called Flashy Fiction .  Many of the stories within it were flash fiction exercises and inspired by one of the author's Twitter followers.  He'd tweet a request for titles or something, and then write to fit the first one that came back.  It's very intriguing and made me wonder if I could do that.  So in addition to the option of leaving me words to include or themes to incorporate, feel free to leave me a title to conform to.  A few examples from that book are "The Day I Got Caught", "Zombies at the Meat Market", and "Forgettable: The Beginning".  There are a bunch more that were so fun, but I'll leave it there. So everybody get your thinking caps on and leave me something fun and weird and different to get creative with!  :D

Well I got to do something pretty different last week with all the fantasy set words to include.  It was fun and it really made me work, so keep it up!  It's the time of the week to leave me new stuff :D Themes, items, randomness, whatever you want to see or simply challenge me with, go for it.   I'm game!

Alright, so yeah I took last week off from...well everything pretty much...but I'm back now and ready to go! So bring on some new ideas.  New words to somehow fit into a story, a specific genre you want me to try to write (emphasis on try lol), or a special theme like werewolves or aliens or cowboys.  Have some fun, get creative!  The more different y'all get, the more creative I have to be, and that's the point and the fun of the exercise! Lay it on me!

It's Monday again! Time for y'all to hit me with some ideas for a lil flash fiction! Bring on some new and random stuff. I would really love to hear from regulars and new peeps as well. Remember it can be ideas for genre, random things or themes to include in the story, anything.  I don't know which direction to go in without YOUR input, so please speak up everybody !

Hehe, so I'm really enjoying this flash fiction thing!  :D  However, I would love to get more input.  So come on and leave me some ideas to write about or random things to incorporate into the story.  I was able to continue with my first story, but I'm more than willing to a new one too.  You can also leave a comment or email me to let me know your thoughts on what I've posted (if something needs help, I'd love to know so I can work on it!).  Anyway, bring on the next round of suggestions!

Ok, that was a lot of fun actually, and all your ideas had me really inspired.  Leave me some more fun stuff.  Genre ideas, random things to try to fit in the story somewhere, and just anything you want to see.  If it fits, I could continue with the story I started yesterday, or I can write a new one.  Either way I'm excited already! List is open through Thursday, Friday I'll take the ideas left for me and try to use them all or pick a bunch (depending how many are left and as long as they don't contradict each other).   Ready?  Set.  Go!

Alright!  Start throwing me out some ideas, and I'll pick a couple on Friday to start working on a little Flash Fiction piece to post for you on Sunday!  Ideas can include a genre (paranormal romance, contemporary romance, YA, horror, etc), theme (cowboys, angels, vampires, magic, boardroom, high school, etc), and random objects (duct tape, rusty spoon, a football, etc).  Then let's see if I can come up with something fun with what y'all suggest :P Let 'em rip!
