There's a reason I'm a Sam girl.*g*I confess when I write my heroes, they tend to be tall, usually averaging around 6'5" (and it goes without saying they're ripped). In reality, I'm 5'2" (on a good day) and my husband is 5'9" and frankly, that's a good height for me. When I speak with really tall men, I end up with a crick in my neck, and what about kissing? Now, I'm short. Of course, I write my heroines taller, too, (generally), but still, even at 5'9" a girl would need a step ladder.
