Understand that if you are going to do this you need to make a commitment o yourself first that you are willing to see this all the way through. 2. Understand that being an author is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to write and work on writing everyday. 3. Don’t quit your day job, it will take time for you to start making a living off writing. 4. Don’t get discouraged, everything, if it’s one word or one sentence is progress and a step closer to your goal. 5.
