REVIEW: Wildfire Griffin by Zoe Chant
Blurb:
When firefighter Rory lays eyes on fire watcher Edith, he instantly knows she’s the one. His fated mate.
Now, to win her heart, he just has to protect her from:
1. A raging wildfire (actually, she’s already got that covered, thanks)
2. The lightning-throwing invisible monster that started it (um, the what?)
3. Killer bunnies (don't even ask)
4. The appalling matchmaking attempts from his crew of misfit shifters (not only is this guy scorching hot, his dog is adorable too. And...weirdly smart?)
5. His own animal need to claim her. Now. (if only she could look him in the eye…)
Good thing that as a powerful alpha griffin shifter, he can handle anything…right?
There’s only one problem.
The last thing this autistic woman wants—or needs—is to be protected…

Thoughts:
I actually read this one before I read the original series. I loved it so much I went and read everything. I love the comraderie among the crew and all the creatures that appear. The "killer bunny" thing was super creepy. Fenrir (the "dog") is adorable and I want him.
I like that the heroine is autistic. It just goes to show how capable and smart and normal an autistic person can be. I also loved Rory for how he supported her without even knowing. Honestly, I just fell in love with the characters from the get go. The story is intriguing and honestly I'm not entirely sure that it was fully answered or solved, not counting the wildfires themselves. So, yeah there's plenty to look forward to in the next five (?) books!

Bottom Line:
Wildfire Griffin only whetted my appetite and now I want to read anything from Zoe Chant. It's full of action and mystery and fun shifter antics.
