Learning more about V's history is rough and enlightening. His chemistry with Jane makes sense and they are pretty hot together. Their ending is kind of sad and I think it leaves some holes for inconsistencies, but it's the best one could hope for under the circumstances.

We also get to see from Phury's POV and it's a little tough for me. I want to be sympathetic towards him, but a part of me also finds him a little pathetic. The path he ends up on has a lot of potential, but whether it gets filled in a good way or a bad way, I can't yet guess.

Bottom Line:

Lover Unbound is a wild ride because V himself is one. It's exciting and promises some changes in the future.
