REVIEW: The Viper's Nest by Tate James

Summary:

Betrayal has forced us on the run. Evading the very man I considered my family, the organization I once considered good. In hiding, I need to master my new power and find peace with my bonded guardian--or risk exposure.

But my heart can't accept the events that led us here. I need answers. Closure.

An olive branch is offered and another trap is sprung. While my relationships grow stronger by the day, new tensions arise and ghosts of my past appear. But can anyone be trusted?

I'm Kit Davenport and I didn't see that one coming.

Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of naughty fun, lots of dragon fun, and we meet a new character: Sam. Sam is pretty awesome. There is a great deal of plot progression here and some serious questions are raised. I have mixed feelings about Kit’s mom and her guardians. I think there’s a tremendous amount of grey area, but her mom in particular screams bad vibes. I’m absolutely itching for the next book.

Bottom Line:

The Viper's Nest was a riveting ride. Be prepared to keep reading the series, for this one won’t let you rest even when it’s over.
