MY FIRST PREGNANCY - 2nd Trimester

SECOND TRIMESTER Everyone will tell you that the second trimester is the best, but you might think they’re full of crap for the first week or two. In my case, it took me almost a month. A friend of mine said she started feeling better at about 14 weeks, but I was still feeling exhausted all the time, though the nausea did start to dial back a little. It was pretty much gone by about 16 weeks and then I discovered that I loved food again (which was reflected in my weigh in at my doctor’s appointment when I had gained 6 pounds after having lost at every other appointment haha). In addition to the nausea going away, I also got an energy boost. I was able to do some household chores again, was not only willing but anxious to get out and run errands and things. It was nice not to feel so tired that I felt drugged! However, with my newfound energy and love for food also came a few new and stronger symptoms. The main one that got worse was the nosebleeds. It was no longer just ...

Welcome to the second day of  The Twins of Devonshire and the Curse of the Widow  blog tour. It will run until August 17th and will feature excerpts and new author interviews each day. But first, here is the obligatory blurb about the novel to settle you into this strange world: A plague has covered the land, a single word on the lips of the frightened masses: the Widow. Washing a wave of terror over the countryside and then disappearing like a thief in the night, the Widow holds a kingdom in the palm of her hand. The eyes of Chaos have settled on Prima Terra and heroes must rise. Xeno Lobo, enigmatic and cryptic, hunts the Widow, seeking an object taken from him years before. Will he be able to stem the tide of violence and horror that sweeps the land? A few questions for the author: If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?  As many people as I could, but I would be on a plane to see my f...

Pregnancy Articles

So just to update y'all...I had a huge oops a week or two ago and ended up deleting my outline of all my articles.  I was really upset, mostly with myself, and it's made me procrastinate some.  I am aiming to get the articles posted on Sundays.  Well I'm finally getting my thoughts together again so hopefully this will be the only week that I'm behind (2nd Trimester will post tomorrow morning).  I'm going to TRY to get ahead so everything that can be written ahead of time is done and ready to post, particularly because I'm spending more and more time offline napping or just because at 37 weeks my belly is big, in the way, and UNCOMFY.  Anyway, enough of my whining and excuses.  Just wanted to let y'all know that I'm not wussing out, just been a little too pregnant and lazy :P

REVIEW: Birthday Boy by Cassandra Carr

Image
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance .*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Summary: Johnny isn’t thrilled about his birthday, especially in the club that his girlfriend, Steffi, has dragged him to. Until she voices her desire to have sex right there in the club, but even when he agrees, he doesn’t realize she’s got even more in store for him. Thoughts: This is a short one, as is this review, but a very hot read. It’s also a story with some emotion and trust involved. I love when an author can make even a “quickie” feel kind of deep emotionally and that’s what Cassandra Carr has done. This book has vivid characters in a sweet relationship all about give and take, and the entire scenario, both at the club and at home afterwards, is blazing. If you’re looking for a quick, fun read full of heat with a dash of sweetness, look no further!
