BLOG TOUR: Seven Seals Series by Traci Douglass

Thanks to Bewitching Book Tours for hosting this blog tour. I have Traci Douglass here today, welcome!

*****************************

Introduction To The Scion World:

I’ve been asked to tell you a bit about the Scion warriors today and the world they inhabit, so here goes. :-)

The Scion warriors are an interesting bunch. They are all human, recruited by Divinity from the greatest battles in human history, and granted immortality to serve as She deems fit.

Their gift of eternal life comes with a price, however. They are sworn to protect humanity and guard those under their watch, no matter the cost. Divinity allows them to live their lives independently, but they have no freewill where missions are concerned. If they are called to complete a job, they have no choice but to take it. They have recently been summoned for a new mission, the most important of their long lives: guarding the Seven Seals of the Apocalypse, harbingers of destruction that have been genetically bound to seven unwitting human hosts.

Physically, they are taller than most humans and extremely fit, due to the long hours of training necessary to fulfill their missions. Also, each Scion bears a brand or mark from Divinity, just below their navel. She uses it to summon them to the heavenly realm, a sort of divine paging system. If injured, a Scion’s immortality also grants him accelerated healing powers. The only way to kill a Scion is to dismember them and scatter the parts. The greater the distance, the weaker their healing powers.

The Scion must regularly interact between both Divinity and Lucifer’s realms and with many of the creatures that inhabits these places. Things aren’t always what they seem for the Scion and many petty jealousies and rivalries happen in both the heavenly and hellish realms and the Scion warriors are forced to deal with those on top of everything else. For example, there is a long-standing feud between the Scion and the Archangels—something to do with freewill and accusations of favoritism. Also, there is also a general mistrust of Divinity’s handmaidens amongst the other heavenly dwellers. Silent and without faces, the handmaidens are the only creations, other than humans, with complete freewill.

The names of the Scion warriors, in order of their Calling, are:

Xander – Scion commander
Kagan – featured in Seal Of Destiny
Chago – featured in Seal Of Surrender
Wyck – featured in Seal Of Awakening
Luther – featured in Seal Of Redemption (releasing Spring 2014)
Sloane
Barron

The world they inhabit is our own, with the same joys and sorrows that entails. The challenge for the Scion warriors is to find a balance between their age-old vows and life as we know it. The missions take them to locations all over the world, sometimes glamorous, but most times not.

There are a total of seven books planned for the series, one for each of the warriors and their Seals, as well as a novella detailing the story of each Scion’s human life prior to and just after their Calling.

Hope this answers some of your questions. If not, please feel free to ask below in the comments! :-)

Thanks so much for having on your blog today. It’s been fun! :-)

Seal of Destiny - Book 1

Love conquers all… but can it stop the Apocalypse?

Mira Herald is having the worst life ever. Not only is she plagued by horrific nightmares starring the Devil himself, she’s now the target of a power-hungry, rogue minion, freshly sprung from Hell and bent on her destruction. To complicate matters further, she’s acquired a stalker. One who insists he’s a divine warrior sent for her protection because she houses an ancient relic with the power to unleash Armageddon. Last time Mira checked, she wasn’t insane. Still, all this celestial mayhem is enough to drive a girl crazy.

Kagan is a member of the Scion, an elite team of immortal warriors selected by Divinity to aid mankind and save the world. After a century alone, Kagan is summoned for a new mission. He’s eager to begin. Eager until he’s informed his mission consists of protecting a woman with no clue to the power she wields. Plus, his briefing fails to prepare him for his new target’s cosmic-sized attitude problem. As Divinity’s sworn servant, he’s required to fulfill his duty. His oath, however, does not require him to be enthusiastic about his new assignment or warm-and-fuzzy toward his new compatriot. He plans a wham-bam rescue and a quick return to solitude.

The rogue minion attacks—with the backing of a mysterious organization—and all Hades erupts, putting a fast end to any whirlwind escapes. Accustomed to staunch independence, Mira’s survival now requires full cooperation and an unwavering belief in Kagan. The battle-hardened warrior is also forced to chose: between duty and desire. Amidst the turmoil, Kagan and Mira’s undeniable passion draws them closer to each other and down a path neither expected but both yearn for, more than they ever knew.

Will love save the day? The world’s fate depends on the answer.

Seal of Surrender - Book 2

Love, like War, will always find a way…

War has shaped every aspect of Irena Soldan’s life—her childhood, her work, her DNA. Unaware she is the genetic host of the second Seal of the Apocalypse, Irena battles for those who cannot fight for themselves. As a top human-rights operative for The Omega Consortium, her company provides both the financial backing required to undertake her task and a charismatic, publicity-loving boss to promote her cause. Life proceeds on plan for Irena until a mysterious, sexy stranger arrives claiming to be her guardian and Irena’s path takes a sudden, inauspicious turn for both the erotic and the lethal.

Chago has always been the quiet one amongst his warrior Scion brethren—the brooding, Spanish combat expert with a hidden soft side. A member of Divinity’s covert special forces, he’s protected humanity for more than a millennium. Still, his greatest joy comes not from the battlefield, but from tending the cattle herd on his remote Montana ranch.

Irena’s new assignment takes her straight to the heart of a bloody civil conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa and Chago’s mission demands he follow. Expecting a seething cauldron of female whoop-ass, he instead discovers a harbinger of peace amidst a world of ever-increasing violence. The explosively tense situation is further magnified by the cunning Omega Consortium leader, his ambiguous personal agenda, and an ancient foe whose audacious rise to power threatens the world’s very existence.

Despite the cataclysmic circumstances, an undeniable attraction ignites between Chago and Irena. Together, they must unravel the ancient puzzle of the Seals and discover her employer’s ulterior plans before they both become casualties of War. Soon, both are forced to choose between a past riddled with old torments or risk everything they treasure on a love capable of defeating evil incarnate.

Seal of Awakening - Book 3

Socially awkward geneticist Quinn Strickland has willingly forgone the pleasures in life to reach her career objectives. Alone and approaching thirty, she uses her independence to mitigate any risk of a broken heart. Her strategy works until the day a handsome stranger bursts into her lab and her orderly plans shoot straight to Hades. He claims to be her personal divine protector, a powerful, ancient warrior sent to defend a prophetic time bomb existing within her own genetic code.

The Scion’s alpha-geek Wyck is offered the opportunity of his immortal lifetime as head of his own covert operation. He arrives at a Colorado lab expecting starched white coats and sterile surroundings—not a redheaded spitfire in charge of both his project and his libido. His skills have carried him from the battlefields of ancient England to the pits of Hell and he has no plans to be felled by one woman, regardless of her shag-worthy charms. Divine duty requires him to protect the apocalyptic Seal encrypted within Quinn’s DNA, but his heart has other ideas. When his personal feelings interfere with his age-old vendetta, he’s forced to decide between desire and retribution.

Thoughts:

This is one anthology that I can say I loved every bit of. All the stories were very enjoyable and left me wanting more! I can’t pick out one favorite and I’m certainly going to be investigating more from all of these authors (the ones I’m not already familiar with anyway).

There’s a different portrayal of being “HIS” in each story. Some are BDSM like and some are just plain alpha male related. Each was well written and compelling. This is definitely a book to get if you like your men a little rough and/or commanding.

Bottom Line:

If you’re looking for a read that will have you hot and bothered, look no further! Get a little variety with your romantic and demanding men with an anthology devoted to being totally possessed in all the best ways.

REVIEW: Working Out the Kinks by Angela R Sargenti

***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summary:
This trio of threesome stories is sure to arouse, with something for everyone. The stories include: XOXO: In her diary, a young woman writes about her first threesome with her straight vanilla boyfriend and her more experienced lover, Aja. Autobahn: Dylan goes looking for a wife and finds something else instead: a very kinky couple who want to take him into their hearts. Working Out the Kinks: Tied down in the basement with her panties stuffed in her mouth is not how Dana foresaw the end of her affair, but now she must pay the price and suffer the punishment her two enraged lovers have cooked up for her.
Thoughts:
I was expecting some kinky play, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that while yes, there’s some kink in there, all three stories also had another element in common – a threesome relationship to some degree. I love ménage stories, so I was thrilled at that discovery. Read on for a bit about each tale.
XOXO is basically a diary entry from a girl detailing her first get together with her both of her boyfriends at the same time. I found her love life interesting to have two guys and neither of them having a real problem with that. It got even better as she brought them both together. One is her somewhat kinky partner, enjoying a commanding attitude, while the other is pretty vanilla and unsure at first as to how to handle the experience. He caught on pretty quick though, and the ending hints at more rendezvous and getting the boys in on some action with each other, leaving the reader wanting more.
AUTOBAHN is a story about a girl with a very kinky side and her boyfriend who’s still getting used to it. He says some mean things, and she makes him pay for them in the best way a girl can. I have to say it’s a little fun to see a guy mildly interested, but mostly afraid of a strap-on hehe. Overall it felt a little incomplete, like the story was just a scene taken out of the context of a longer story. I would’ve liked a little more background as I was confused about Jared’s role when he was introduced.
WORKING OUT THE KINKS is the book’s namesake, so it should be the big show. I guess it kind of was, as it certainly had the more hardcore experience in it, but it also felt a little awkward in places. It’s got some strong bondage and BDSM play, which I don’t mind so much, it’s the angle of her cheating so she’ll be punished part that I wasn’t as comfortable with. I suppose the boys reacted accordingly though, so I digress. It was certainly a more emotional story than I was expecting. Plus, I thought the guys were pretty inventive, especially with the use of a Hot Wheels track...
REVIEW: Drowning by Rachel Firasek
"I dare you."
Those words would change adrenaline junkie, Alice Harrison's life forever. She's a party girl that doesn't believe in love until she meets a man that only writes about it.
Seth James escaped his overbearing father and moved into one of the James family's vacant condos, hoping to create the music he loves in peace. But the fragile calm he's envisioned shatters when a tiny woman with a world full of energy bounces out of the elevator and nearly takes him out.
But when the walls fall down, the hidden deceptions will bare the ugly truth about a woman drowning in sorrow and a man who may not know how to be her hero.
*Drowning is a New Adult Contemporary Romance suited for 18+ due to some violence, language, and sexual content. Please be aware that this book is not for the faint of heart. It deals with real issues of getting pass abuse at the hands of a sadist. This is a stand alone novel in this series and does have a HEA.*
Thoughts:
This was a good read. I agree with the warning – it’s a dark and twisty book. I like the James brothers and their bandmates and I like Alice, but had mixed feelings about Molly for most of the book. I want more from the bandmates, but this is Seth and Alice’s story, so I’ll focus on them. Alice’s family is just…absurd. I don’t know how she kept going. Seth’s life hasn’t been easy, don’t get me wrong, but I just didn’t feel like it was THAT bad. Maybe that’s just because of Alice’s history, I don’t know.
As for the abuse that’s mentioned – it’s horrific. It’s not quite what you might be expecting, but it is absolutely horrific. My only problem with it is that maybe I’m naïve, but I just can’t imagine that level of abuse to someone going on for so long – politician or not. Several people knew and it was reported when she was a child. Things like that aren’t written off without investigation. Again, maybe I’m just naïve.
That issue didn’t ruin the story for me at all though. I liked watching the evolution of Seth and Alice and the climax was pretty good. I really enjoyed the conflict resolution and adored the ending. I will definitely be looking forward to book 2!
Bottom Line:
Drowning is a story that will tug at your heartstrings in multiple ways, but will leave you with a smile and looking forward to the next installation of the new series. Don’t miss out!
~EXCERPT~
It was late in the afternoon and the shadows from the evergreen forest stretched across her hiking boots. Down in a large crevice, a truck was backed into a ledge and half hidden by Mother Nature. How on earth someone was able to get that vehicle down there in the first place, she couldn’t guess. When the boys removed the brush that had served as camouflage, a midsized four-wheel-drive Chevy was exposed, fully jacked up in every sense of the word. Maybe it hadn’t been so hard getting that lifted, red, roaring beast in the hole after all. She smiled sadly. Jarren would have loved it.
Sean tried to start it a few times with no luck. Laney, Finn, and Guist patrolled nervously at the noise. They definitely didn’t need to attract Dead attention with their getaway car stalled in a ditch.
Mitchell popped the hood and the annoying half of him disappeared to tinker inside. The bearable half of him was on display as he balanced on one foot in his gray cargo pants and boots. Damn, that man could wear a pair of pants. He had found a pair that was tighter on his assets and looser in the legs, effectively lengthening his already impressive height and accenting his athleticism.
She jerked her gaze away from Mitchell and mentally strangled herself. What was wrong with her? It was Mitchell. She got over her crush on him in high school. She couldn’t even name a more dangerous man to give her heart to. Her gaze fell on Sean, who was turning the engine over again. Well, maybe she could name one.
Title:  A Mate's Bite
Series:  Sassy Mates
Book #: 2
Author:  Milly Taiden
Approximate Book Length:  166 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Explicit
Thoughts:
First let me say that while this book could stand alone alright, I highly recommend reading them in order to avoid confusion and unanswered questions. It’s absolutely worth it!
This book, like the last, puts a lot of value in family, regardless of blood relation. The importance of friends and true family is so strong that it just makes you think of those you hold dear. My only complaint is that Kelvin is such a fun part of the beginning of the book that I was sad when he just sort of falls off the radar in the second half.
Other than that, the book is sexy as hell and incredibly sweet. The plot is interesting and keeps you engaged in both the moment and the big picture. I really want more action on Caleb’s front and I can’t wait for that story. The rest of the characters are each as addicting and I can’t wait for all of their stories.
This one started off with the same scenting ceremony from the first book before fast forwarding to pick up where book one left off, so I am curious to see how the others go in the regard as well!
Bottom Line:
A Mate's Bite is a wonderful installment in what promises to be a delicious, fun, and exciting emotional ride of a series from Milly Taiden.
REVIEW: On the Prowl by Lucy Felthouse
***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Summary:

On the Prowl
There's a serious man drought in Jolene's town, and she seriously needs to get laid. Fed up of waiting around for someone to come along, Jolene goes out on the prowl. It turns out to be her lucky night when she not only meets the handsome Blake, but his friend Pete—and they're both interested in Jolene. Jolene can't possibly decide between the two delicious men, so she decides to have them both—at the same time.

Double Vision

However, there's one fantasy that she's never divulged, as it breaks their rule about bring other people into their sex life. One day, though, Becky decides to bite the bullet and tell Paul everything. She never expects him to make her fantasy come true. But then, Paul's a very resourceful man.

A Stroke of Peach
Eleanor's a mature art student with a part-time job in a stationery store. One shift sees her sorting out the little-used upstairs warehouse. Completely engrossed in her task, she's startled by the appearance of her colleague, Jimmy, and accidentally covers him in ink. This signals the start of a war, which ends up with the two colleagues in a very compromising position in a dusty corner.

Thoughts:

This book was pretty enjoyable as one woman finds more than she was looking for while out for a night on the town, another woman finds herself aroused after a little goofing off with a coworker, and a married couple seeking to fulfill the woman’s most secret fantasy. All three stories are both sweet and fun to varying degrees. I’ll give you a little insight to each of them.

ON THE PROWL is the book’s namesake and lives up to the title perfectly. A woman goes out to a club hoping to find a little action, and she finds not one, but two men that strike her fancy. Things work out in a sexy and authentic feeling encounter, leaving the reader happy.

A STROKE OF PEACH is about a woman who works at a stationary store and while looking through the ancient boxes in the storeroom finds some scented pens. She’s so absorbed in her exploration that she doesn’t hear her coworker sneak up behind her. They engage in a bit of a war with the scented pens, primarily a peach one. Fun and games turn serious as things heat up despite the danger of being caught. This one was definitely a fun and sexy little read.

DOUBLE VISION is about a couple who are very open with each other and often act out their fantasies. She’s kept one to herself however, and finally gets up the courage to tell him about it. They have a rule of never bringing anyone else into their married bed, so he gets inventive in fulfilling her fantasy of multiple men. This story was the most emotional because they’re married and just have that close connection, but that only makes it that much sweeter and sexier.

REVIEW: Time or Money by Carly Fall

Summary:

Mason Jackson knows his marriage to Bridget is in trouble. He’s been putting in exhausting hours for months to try to make partner in his accounting firm. He knows that it is putting a strain on his marriage, but he has trouble escaping the memory of the poverty of his childhood. He never wants his wife, or the children they yearn for, to know the struggle that he endured when he can provide a better life for them. But things are reaching breaking point; he and Bridget are more like roommates than a married couple. He needs to think of a way to get their marriage back on track and what better way than to make Valentine's Day, Bridget's favorite holiday of the year, a new start for their marriage? Mason puts in place plans for an elaborate evening designed to surprise Bridget.

Bridget is miserable in her marriage, and often longs for the days when they were dirt poor. They may have struggled financially, but at least she had her husband around. Mason is always working, and Bridget feels that he has chosen his work over her. She’s tried to talk to him about the way she feels, but he doesn’t seem to hear her. He just keeps telling her that once he makes partner then everything will be all right. But Bridget is sick of Mason forgetting the things that are important to her … like their anniversary a few months ago. She is at the end of her tether and decides that if he forgets Valentine’s Day, her favorite day of the year, then divorce just might be on the cards.

At the end of the day, this couple has only one decision to make: Time or Money?

Title:  Time or Money
Series:  N/A
Book #: N/A
Author:  Carly Fall
Approximate Book Length:  55 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Moderate

Thoughts:

This was a refreshing read. Most romance novels revolve around falling in love, but this was about a couple that fell in love, got married, and then got lost somewhere along the way in their marriage. Being in my seventh year of marriage, I found it highly relatable. The emotional turmoil that comes with that feeling like your marriage might be over for one reason or another is portrayed very well – so much so it nearly brought me to tears.

However, while that’s most of the book, the last quarter fell short for me. I lost the connection due to a few elements. While the first love scene was fine in terms of placement – lord knows it was certainly sexy – the rest of the story after that started feeling a little rushed and filled with holes. He went from angry and resentful to being fine after suddenly thinking of the perfect solution (why didn’t that come up before?) that magically solved everything making them both feel completely better immediately. I can tell you, problems of that degree are not solved in a single night and nobody feels wholly better for a while. Plus, marriage is compromise, and I feel like she forced all the changes to be made by her husband.

So while I thought it was authentic in the beginning, it kind of broke down and felt too easy by the ending. That being said, I still enjoyed reading this book.

Bottom Line:

Time or Money is a story that takes you on an emotional ride through a marriage on the verge of ending. It’s a good example of how key communication is in a relationship and what is truly important. Check it out!

REVIEW: Lust and Longing by Naomi Bellina

***This book was originally reviewed for My Secret Romance.***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summary:
Lust and Longing is a collection of six short stories, a couple of which are VERY short. Each story varies in heat level, so there’s a little bit for every mood you might be in.
Thoughts:
These stories really only have one thing in common, and from the title you can guess what it is – a stroke of lust or a personal longing is involved for one reason or another for each main character. Beyond that, every story is different making for a very interesting read.
AN AFTERNOON AT THE LIBRARY is a story about a girl doing research at the library to take her mind off all the sex she’s no longer having. She sees a hot guy and decides to make a move. When he mentions he’s seeing someone, instead of backing off, she invites the third party, not knowing what she was in for. Another ménage story (oh happy day!) that’s fun and sweet, this story has an ending that leaves you wishing it was a longer story so you could keep reading.
LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU is a very different story than I was expecting. A girl who is essentially a prostitute in a time or world (that’s not all that clear) where there are kings and lords is contracted to kill the prince. This story has some intrigue and violence, but mostly some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. It was a surprisingly enjoyable little read, but not exactly in the romance or smut department.
ONE MORE TIME is the shortest story in here, only spanning one page. A girl and guy who’ve broken up have one last go around. It’s short, but sexy none the less. It’s almost funny even!
THE HOME FOR WARWARD WOMEN is a story that actually left me feeling dirty just for having read it, and not in a fun way. It’s a club where women are collected like a second chance shelter – they agree to reside there and behave in return for not going to prison. Men can join at a high price, and the man we follow intends to pay the price any way he can. It’s like a high class whore house with questionable consent on the women’s part I felt they were degraded, and I was just really uncomfortable reading this one in particular.
COMPUTER REPAIR SPECIAL is a story about a woman doing a writing project when her computer crashes leading her to call a repair man. He arrives and she finds him hot, so she decides to do him for a little inspiration. It truly was a little quickie, but the ending was still kind of surprisingly sweet.
THE IMPORTANCE OF READING LABELS is a story with a little magic in it. A girl steals her professor’s stash of angel dust, only to discover it’s actually a modified version of demon dust. She’s left so horny she’s insatiable. It was sexy even if it was a “just do the first guy you see on the street” kind of situation, but more importantly, I found it kind of funny. The phrase “instant karma” came to mind as I read!
Summary:
Shoshanna Evers, Kelly Jamieson, Karen Stivali, Karen Booth, and forty other authors share their office-supply-inspired fantasies in Felt Tips, an eclectic anthology of erotic literature. All proceeds from the sale of Felt Tips will be donated to an organization that helps struggling schools supply their classrooms.
Title:  Felt Tips
Series:  N/A
Book #: N/A
Author:  Sandra Bunino et al.
Approximate Book Length:  346 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Explicit
Thoughts:
There are so many stories in this anthology that I couldn’t possibly touch on all of them. I got it because it had a contribution from Sandra Bunino, and I love her work. As with any anthology, especially of this size, there will be some stories that you’ll love, that you’ll like alright, and some that just aren’t quite your taste or that just don’t “do it” for you. That’s how I felt about this book. There were a few stories that I really liked – causing me to look up some new authors – and some that I couldn’t even finish because they just weren’t for me.
Bottom Line:
Here’s an anthology with a little bit of everything themed around some type of office supply from a marker to a desk chair. It’s worth checking out for the gems and easy enough to skip what doesn’t tickle your fancy.
COVER REVEAL: Peyton's Ride by Jennifer James and The Reaper and the Cop by Mina Carter
Herding Cats and Burning Soup is hosting a cover reveal for Jennifer James's Peyton's Ride and Mina Carter's The Reaper and the Cop. I'm here to share those covers and some info on the upcoming releases. Happy Reading!
Peyton’s Ride (Riding with the Hunt #1) by Jennifer James
Divorcee Peyton Reynolds is ready to get out of town after her mother's death. A month long cross country ride on her Harley, free from her estranged family's judgement and the memories of her ex-husband's betrayal. A last check-up on her new cruiser leaves her alone in the garage with sexy town bad boy, Ian Coghlan.
Ian Coghlan knows he's nothing but bad news for a woman like Peyton. His killer affection has held him back from acting on a five year old attraction. One tiny grin in the gorgeous, curvy, brunette's direction and sockets start flying out of the tool boxes.
Pixie pranks abound, his old biker gang roars into the parking lot...and that's only the beginning of the mayhem.
When Peyton is left bleeding to death, he has to decide if he can let her go or if he's willing risk her eternal hatred for changing her life forever.
About the Author
For a girl whose first book was called “The Scariest Forest Ever,” the jump to romance may seem to be a far one. But a love of happy endings and the stories she kept making up in her head for strangers on the street lead to an unhealthy amount of time spent behind the keyboard typing away and giggling mischievously over sassy heroines, sexy heroes, and healthy sprinklings of geek humor.
With time split between a day job staring at teeth, two little girls, college courses, workaholic husband, and too many voices in her head, Jennifer still finds time to sneak off and devour all the books she can find – even if it means hiding in the closet to read them.
She insists on her jokes being dirty, drinks spiked, and tattoos placed in intriguing, muscular places you can only find when the clothes come off.
The Reaper and the Cop by Mina Carter
Death’s big business. For Laney Larson, it’s a full time job.
The latest in a long line of Reapers, Laney hits Liberty, Oakwood expecting the usual ‘reap and run’ type of job. However the small town holds far more secrets than she expects, including a sexy cop who blind-sides her reaper instincts big-time.
Liberty. It used to be a nice town until the things that go bump in the night moved in.
Detective Troy Regan moved to Liberty to claw back a little of his soul after working homicide in the big city. But the sleepy little down has problems of the paranormal kind and it’s police department have gone from calls about lost cats to Boggarts in the basement. Then the seriously nasty stuff moved in.
Sparks fly when a sexy Reaper meets a hot as hell Cop...
Troy’s not sure exactly what flavour of paranormal Laney is, but he doesn’t care. She’s tiny, delicate and gorgeous. When he finds a Lycan looming over her in an alley, all his protective instincts flare up. He needs to get her home, keep her safe…in his bed.
But is she the answer he’s been looking for to fill the empty spot in his heart, or the most dangerous creature he’s ever met?
About the Author
Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.
So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all...
(But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.)
The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.
