BLOG TOUR: Hot Highlanders and Wild Warriors by Delilah Devlin

Imagine a time when survival required physical strength and men were judged by their fierce loyalty and unshakeable honor. USA Today bestselling author Delilah Devlin has collected the most evocative tales of historical romance in Hot Highlanders and Wild Warriors, which is full of wild knights, hunky horsemen and Scottish warriors whose courage on the battlefield is only outmatched by their ardor for their ladyloves. In Layla Chase's Icelandic coming-of-age story, a rough combatant from a neighboring clan is softened by "The Maiden's Kiss." A battle-broken Highlander returns to the castle in Susannah Chapin's "Wicked" and is made whole again in the arms of his perfect mate. An aristocratic warrior woman makes an unforgettable impression when she hunts alongside an entrancing Mongol general in Connie Wilkins's danger-filled "A Falcon in Flight." The Stories of these bravehearts will have you heading for the hills!

“From the edge of the boulder, Jorunn Bjornsdatter watched a soldier from Thorfinn’s clan practicing with a long sword on a suspended hay-stuffed bag. Only twenty paces separated them, so she hugged the rock to avoid detection. Sweat beaded on his bulging muscles and glistened in the moonlight. With each jab and swing, the man uttered a guttural moan. “Hah.” A wooden shield ringed with metal chopped at the bag. “Huh.”

A shiver ran through her at the sight of the warrior’s bare chest, accented with bold runic tattoos. Her fingers itched to run over his golden skin, to test the solidity of his taut flesh.

Long enough had she sat in the women’s circle, tending her sewing or weaving, and listening to the married women talk of the excitement lurking between a man’s legs. The exertion displayed before Jorunn was vigorous and savage, and in the past she’d turned away from such sights. But tonight she felt spell-cast, unable to drag her gaze from the enchanting rhythm of his skilled moves.

This warrior with the wheat-colored braid running down the center of his scalp captured her attention. Tingles ran over her skin, centering in her breasts and making them plump. Not even a chill breeze to blame for her tits tightening into buds that poked against her flax-linen dress. A flush infused her cheeks and she palmed her breasts, pressing hard in hopes of easing the tension. But her touch only thrummed her blood faster, and Jorunn couldn’t resist a squeeze or two, dragging her fingers along the fine cloth and twisting the tight nibs. Jolts of plea- sure sparked in her lady flower, and she squeezed her thighs together, biting down on her lower lip to keep silent. Her head dropped backward, and she gazed at the pinpoints of starlight as she fought to catch her breath, pressing her heated body against the cool rock.”
