REVIEW: Undressed by Avery Aster

Prince Massimo Tittoni is Milan’s playboy and appears to have everything, yet he ruthlessly stops supplying fabrics to an American client that inspired him to start his own line of apparel. Designer Lex Easter from New York is determined to change her supplier’s mind by going out to Milan and working it out, even if it comes to giving him a piece of her mind. As their situation evolves into something altogether different for them both, the paparazzi become a serious problem, potentially derailing all the plans Lex and Masi have made.

Title:  Undressed
Series:  The Manhattanites
Book #: 1
Author:  Avery Aster
Approximate Book Length:  257 Pages
Recommended Reader Age:  18+
Sexual Content:  Explicit

This was a pretty hot read. There’s a threesome scene that our heroine witnesses that was pretty hot and the chemistry between Masi and Lex is tangible. However, I found myself more invested in the storyline than the romance. The people around Lex and Masi were fun and compelling, and I really liked Lex herself for the most part, but it took me a while to warm up to Masi because he seemed a strange combination of gentleman and jerk.

I wasn’t wholly invested in the story, but even so, I have to admit that when things got critical I was crying for Lex and wanting to scream at Masi for being a little naïve in such a situation. However, the ending was sweet and adorable and I came out firmly on the approving side for Masi.

Overall, while the sex was hot, it was regarded much too casually for the majority of the book and the plot was pretty predictable. While I ultimately enjoyed the book, it just didn’t captivate me.

In Conclusion:

A fast, easy read, Undressed is a very steamy read with fun characters and an interesting fashion scene. If you’re looking for a pretty light hearted romance with a little kink, don’t miss this one.
